On The Crest of a Wave

This is a test, Repeat this is a test. (I’m so 2.0, your so ASCII)

[Wave removed 'cus it was getting on my wick!]

.
There should be an embedded wave above this BTW! I hope you’re not still using IE!

As popular as ever…

I was on face book today, I normally check how my 6 firends are doing once a day or so, and I saw this on Will Rileys [of The Trouble with data fame]    wall… (or what ever it is).

Now, I just registered for a wave and then they invited me, but I have no one to talk too, so eirther ask me to invite you or go and register and wave me! Then this can be a thing of the past, and I can have another account to log into each day!

Gwave

Bonus – I’m give chrome another go, one thing I hate, is how it handles downloads – as can be seen in this screen shot.

More Google Evil??

A few months ago I highlighted my worries over Goggle Chrome. Now it seams that Google are turning on MS, and IE. As much as I dislike IE (7 + is ok) it’s a bit worrying, because its not a huge leap of imagination to see how Firefox could be next. I don’t like Chrome and it worries me that the people behind the main stays of the internet (powerful searching) have now entered in to the arena of the browser. I’m sure Google wont, but there is opportunity to bias it’s web service in favour of it’s own browser, and that would make them Microsoft, a case of hunted turning hunter if ever there was one!

Googles plan to rule the world?

There are things I like about Google, there are things I don’t. Recently I’ve tried there blog reader – I think it sucks. I have also been trying Chrome. well…

There are a few reasons.
Here’s one, I don’t like “no chrome”, that sounds ifffy to me

But this worries me more, especially if your using Goggle docs for typing up your business plan!

Google Notes: Good!

I’ve been morning a bit lately so I thought I would take the time to make a post about some thing good!
I have been using Google notes for about a month or so now and I find it really works well.
Basically it allows you to copy bits of web pages (and stores a link back to the source), then you can joint down notes along side what you have clipped. The idea has been around for a long time, there used to be another app that did the same thing, (snobole or something).

The notes screen is a little pop up type affair which sits in the bottom (or top) of the window, you can select text from a web page and add it with a click.
When you want to you can export/transfer/copy it to Google docs, and play around with it.

If you do a lot of research on the web, give it a try.

Now, if it could auto-magically add citations out of Pdf’s,….
